Like all the other vehicles (including aircrafts and yachts) belonging to 29th Sultan of Brunei, the FX was prepared in secret and hasn't existed officially according to both Ferrari and Pininfarina. The Sultan and his brother Price Jefri let Williams F1 team to equip the cars with seven speed, electro-hydraulic gearbox, complete with manual clutch adjustments located on the center console. Before completed, the rest of the commission was canceled and car no. 4 (chassis no. 103396) could be purchased by Dick Marconi for his museum. According to ultimatecarpage.com, this car still includes a Sony tape player. The plaque located in the interiors says 'FX no. X unique pininfarina design for the Royal Family of Brunei Darussalam.'
